Selvan is the Head of Risk and Compliance for CESL bringing a wealth of experience within the financial, banking and public sectors locally and abroad.
Throughout his career Selvan has developed a deep passion for compliance particularly with GE Money where as Head of Compliance he was responsible for delivery of the Financial Advisors and AML/CFT (Anti Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism Act 2009) programs of work for the business. Selvan was also the innovation leader for GE Capital representing the organisation across the Asia Pacific Region and championing the innovation program for the business.
Selvan is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
Leaving GE Money Selvan worked as a compliance consultant with Westpac New Zealand and delivered AML programs to the likes of BMW New Zealand and Yamaha New Zealand.
Away from work Selvan enjoys time with his wife and children and is an avid fisherman and keen golfer.
Michael is an AML/CFT Consultant who brings a wealth of knowledge particularly as a practicing Lawyer with over 20 years of experience working in leading New Zealand Law firms and Principal for Enterprise Law. Michael is heavily involved in the community and is the Deputy Chair of Gladstone Primary School Board of Trustees. A passionate Rugby follower you’ll find him most winter Saturday’s trying to keep up as Coach of his Junior Rugby Team.
Gareth is the General Manager of CESL and is tasked with making sure our clients receive the service we’ve promised. Gareth brings a deep domain expertise in Sales and Credit Management. Throughout his career he has managed large call centre environments, strategic partnerships particularly with GE Money where he managed the Joint Venture with Kiwibank and the Vehicle Loan program with Trade Me. He has a passion for creating terrific environments for staff to perform and as he is often heard to say and borrowing from Peter Drucker “Culture eats strategy for breakfast” without a culture of performance, respect and fun how can an organisation perform for its clients.
Gareth is a passionate Kiwi and wants to see Kiwi businesses succeed and grow. If that goal is achieved then we all win.
Jamie is a Director of CESL, bringing more than 20 years’ experience of business turnaround success and business optimisation.
Jamie turned GE Money NZ from a loss maker into General Electric’s highest returning business in the Asia Pacific in two years. Customer Net Promoter Score increased from -2 to +34. He was also key member of the executive team that successfully launched Visa’s biggest credit card launch in NZ to date- Gem Visa and successfully led the AML project for GE Capital, helping implement their Electronic Identification solution.
At Westpac NZ, Jamie led over 1000 staff and was responsible for the Northern Branch Network, the Mobile Mortgage Channel, Migrant Banking and helped launch Westpac’s Air NZ credit card product which was Westpac’s first 100 % digital acquisition process. Jamie also launched the Digital Branch for retail banking, a first for the Westpac Group which has since been implemented at St George Bank and the Bank of Melbourne.
Delivering transformational and sustainable value for the shareholder, employee and customer is Jamie’s business passion- creating win/ win outcomes for all. Outside of business, his passion is spending quality time with his family and friends, preferably while catching one or two quality snapper within the pristine harbours of Auckland.
